Hawke's Bay

Located on the east coast of the North Island, Hawke's Bay is New Zealand's oldest and second-largest wine-production region. While the GI covers the entire Hawke's Bay Region, vineyards are primarily concentrated in the low hills and plains around Hastings and Napier. In 2018, production reached 41,000 tonnes, accounting for 10.2% of total national production.
